
Habitat: Flat, open limestone terraces with very sparse vegetation, close to sea level.
Distribution: Endemic to Bonaire, in the southern Caribbean, where it is concentrated in a small area of the island.
Description: Single-stemmed palm, up to 7 metres tall, with a relatively slender trunk and very prominent leaf scars, a compact crown and costapalmate leaves with stiff, erect segments, white flowers and globose black fruits.
