Shipping
We ship our products to countries within the European Union, handling live plants with the utmost care to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. As growers, we ship all our plants with their own phytosanitary certificate. Customers may select the shipping company from the options available during the checkout process. We make shipments on Mondays, so the probability that plants remain stored in the carrier’s facilities over the weekend is minimal.
In your shopping cart, you must select one of our three shipping methods: GLS (for orders weighing up to and including 40 kg), pallet (for orders weighing more than 40 kg), or collection in Candeleda (for any weight, whether you wish to collect your order in person or arrange collection by a carrier of your choice). Further down, you will find a detailed description of each method, its shipping conditions and the corresponding rates (including VAT). Please note that shipping costs are calculated automatically and displayed in your shopping cart and during checkout. In some cases, splitting your purchase into two smaller orders may reduce the total shipping cost, as each order will be prepared as a separate parcel. For example, for delivery to the Netherlands, a 41 kg order would cost €185 to ship by pallet, whereas placing two separate orders weighing 20 kg and 21 kg would cost €70 in total. We recommend comparing both options before completing your purchase to find the most economical rate.

GLS
Our preferred shipping method for small and medium-sized products is GLS. You can choose delivery to your home address or to a GLS ParcelShop (collection point). Please note that, if you select GLS, your order will be dispatched on Monday, and the stated delivery time starts from collection (for example, “GLS 24h” means that the carrier commits to delivering your order within 24 hours of collecting it on Monday). Once your order has been registered for dispatch, you will receive an “order shipped” email containing your tracking number or tracking link. You must track your order and, in the event of any issue, contact your local GLS depot as soon as possible, making sure to have your tracking number at hand.
Pick up in Candeleda
We offer all our customers the option of “Pick up in Candeleda”, allowing them to collect their order in person or arrange for any transport company to collect it from our premises in Candeleda (Ávila), at no additional cost to the customer on our part. If you arrange for a carrier to collect your parcel, we recommend providing them with our address, telephone number and email address, which can be found under “Information / Contact us” on our website. We also ask that you let us know in advance when the collection is expected to take place.
Pallet
For large orders, whether due to the size or quantity of the plants, we offer pallet shipping for orders weighing more than 40 kg. Your order will be secured on a pallet and transported by a specialist freight company. We will notify you when it has been dispatched, although online tracking may not be available. This option is particularly suitable for large palm trees. However, if your order exceeds 40 kg because of the combined weight of several products, none of which weighs more than 40 kg individually, it may be cheaper to split it into several orders and ship them separately via GLS parcel delivery. Shipping terms and conditions
The risk of the goods transfers to the buyer at the moment the order is handed over to the selected carrier, in accordance with European consumer regulations. Palmer Brothers will assist the customer in managing any issues with the carrier but is not responsible for any damage, loss, or delays occurring after shipment.
The plants sold are living organisms that may deteriorate quickly due to environmental factors and handling. For this reason, and in accordance with the exception provided under European regulations for goods that can perish rapidly, the right of withdrawal will not apply once an order has been dispatched.
In the event that an order is returned to our facilities due to failure to deliver (error in the address indicated by the customer, inability to contact the customer, or any other reason not related to an mistake on our part), we will interpret this as a withdrawn from the sales contrat by the part of the customer, an proceed to the refund of the order under the terms described below.
If the customer or someone on their behalf signs the receipt of an order without declaring any incidents, and they do not file a claim for damaged or missing products within the first 24 hours of delivery of the goods (sending an email copying both the carrier company and ourselves the sellers), including photographs of the damages, most carrier companies will not take responsibility for the losses or damages they may have cause.
