HARDY BAMBOO PALM (Chamaedorea microspadix)

The bamboo palm tree that supports the coldest

Although there are several ‘bamboo-palms’ that are included in the genus Chamaedorea, this is its representative among the cold- hardy palms, since it is the species that can withstand the coldest. Although from -5ºC it can begin to show damage and even apparently die, it actually can survive frosts below -10ºC since it will be able to resprout as soon as the temperature recovers.
