
Habitat: Canyons, gorges and mountain slopes in desert and dry areas.
Distribution: Baja California Sur and Sonora, Mexico.
Description: Single-stemmed palm, up to 14 metres tall, with a trunk around 30 cm in diameter, green costapalmate leaves with a glaucous underside, petioles armed with small yellowish teeth and globose fruits that turn yellow when ripe.
