Habitat: It grows in sandy coastal forests, especially pine forests.
Distribution: Florida Panhandle and nearby coastal areas.
Description: Multi-stemmed, hermaphrodite palm, up to 6 meters long, with an initially rhizomatic and then aerial trunk covered by the remains of the leaves, palmate leaves of a yellowish to bluish green color, 1.5-2 meters long, white or yellowish inflorescence and shiny black fruit.
